Medicine Hat Villa

We stayed here during a road trip in late June and arrived very late, around 6 in the morning. Despite the usual 11 a.m. checkout, the gentleman at the front desk kindly offered us an extra hour to rest, allowing us to check out at noon. That gesture alone made a big difference after a long night of driving. The hotel was clean, and breakfast included waffles, juice, and coffee. The room wasn’t the most modern, but it was comfortable and perfect for getting some sleep after a tiring night. The location is slightly inside the town, which meant a short drive through the city, giving us the chance to enjoy its beautiful mountain views. We booked last minute and still got a great price. Overall, excellent service, great value, and a very pleasant stay.

The building is a really cute older style with lots of common areas to chill in and they have a nice little breakfast that doesn't usually come with budget accommodations. Room had some of the issues that come with an older place (awkward fixtures, lil asthetic repairs needed) but the beds were comfy and the Marilyn Monroe theme in my room was super charming! The staff are absolutely phenomenal and by far the best part of my visit. Gladys and the other ladies behind the desk were friendly, personable, and truly went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable and easy as possible!! Will definitely book in here next time I'm down in Medicine Hat.

Do not judge this hotel by the outside! The inside has been renovated. The room was big, the bed comfortable. The staff was so friendly. Came in late and the night lady was so friendly and helpful. Locked parking lot which is nice. Met the owner when I checked out and she was so pleasant. I would definitely stay here again.

My experience at Medicine Hat Villa was very positive. The rooms are well-maintained, spacious, and extremely clean. The service was consistently good, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, a reliable and comfortable place to stay. Highly recommended.

This is a great budget option if you are passing through the city. The rooms are clean and well maintained. There is a beautiful and large common area with a tv, computer, kitchen access, tables, games, and a library. As with any budget option, there are minor cosmetic issues throughout. There is rust on some of the bathroom fixtures and chips out of the furniture. None of these are problematic (just minor aesthetic issues). The trade off, however, is a functional room in a pretty nice part of the city at a fraction of the price. The staff weren't the friendliest I've encountered but all of them did their duties diligently. Overall its a great budget option if you are passing through the city and are looking for a place to stay downtown.

This place was all I needed. Excellent value for money. It’s an older motel in decent condition with friendly staff. Everything was clean and worked - shower, bath, sink, lock. The location downtown was spectacular - right near city hall, courthouse, esplanade. They let me stay parked during the day after check out, which is why this place is so great, since inexplicably, all the day lots in the Hat are monthly parking only and the street parking is max 2 hours.

My friends booked this downtown location that I’d never heard of before. The rates were ridiculously low which led me to approach it with some trepidation but I was pleasantly surprised. Room was clean, modest and I slept like a baby. Fenced and secure overnight parking was an added bonus. Huge basement common room where we were able to sit at a table and play a board game with a beverage in hand. Two new vending machines dispensing drinks and sundries at very modest prices. Can’t really ask for much more.
